Sontha Ooru is produced jointly by Y Ravindra Babu and Kishori Basi Reddy under the banner of Shravya Films.
This film is directed by P Sunil Kumar Reddy with First multiplex hero Raja in the lead role. Thirtha is making her debut as heroine through this film.
The producers and the director say that this film is an emotional family drama and makes the viewers go nostalgic about their respective native places.The film is set against a village backdrop and looks at how life is changing in the villages and how modernization is affecting everyone. Director remarks, "Any person can reach any great height but cannot forget his native place. We would like to remind the same through our movie It is worth mentioning here that LB Sriram has penned a story after a long gap, besides playing a key role in this movie. We are sure that he would bag an award for his character. LB Sriram and Tanikella Bharani are playing key roles in the film. Sabu James is the cinematographer. Tanikella Bharani, Jayaprakash Reddy, Jeeva, MS Narayana, Vijayachander, Rallapalli, Swati, Alapati Lakshmi and others are in the cast. The film is slated for release in the first week of February.
